Chainoptimisation Container Inland Shipping

Aim of the project Chainoptimasition Container Inland Shipping is to improve the operation chain of the container inland shipping of the port of Rotterdam and its inland connections and inland terminals

To achieve this aim the project foccussed on:

- integral assingmend of terminal slots to improve trustworthiness of terminals and barge operators and to use inland vessels, cranes and quay wall as efficient as possible

- Bundling of flows to use inland vessels effiently and have less but bigger calls in the port

- Measurement and information exchange to measure the current status of the inland shipping in the port according to several Key Performance Indicators and make efficient use of information
